| Communications strategy
and planning
Projects rely on people to execute them. If people are to implement processes, they have to understand, accept and be committed to the aims of that project.
This will not happen merely by telling people what you are doing or trying to achieve; communication needs to be planned and managed. The development of a communication strategy should be included in any major new project or initiative and needs to consider the following:
- How the project fits
with an organisation's vision and values
- Objectives for both the project and communication
- Standards and style for communication - what it needs to 'feel' like to
achieve the objectives
- What the key messages are
- The different audiences and what you want these audiences to think, feel
and do
- What resources are available and what needs to be bought in
- How success is measured - have the objectives been reached and standards
maintained?
We are able to help create and implement both all-embracing and project-specific
strategies, for instance change programmes.
